Captain Kevin Josenhans has been a professional guide for 30 years. As a bay area native, Kevin has fished the Chesapeake extensively for over fifty years - from it's source on the Susquehanna River to the mouth of the bay at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. His friendly, easygoing style, and keen knowledge of fish habits has made him one of the most popular guides on the bay. As one of the original fly fishing guides of the Chesapeake, Kevin has the experience and patience to enable even a first time fly caster to succeed. No matter your skill level, you will find this a most rewarding trip.
While mostly self-taught, Kevin honed his fly casting skills with instruction from the likes of fly casting legend Lefty Kreh. Tips learned from the master has given Kevin a unique ability to teach others in the fine art of casting and fishing a fly rod. On the water lessons are free, and private classes can be arranged for a nominal fee.
Born and raised on the upper bay, Kevin moved to the Crisfield, Maryland area in 1988, where he has become intimately familiar with Tangier Sound's flats, creeks and coves. Kevin has developed a reputation among fellow guides and bay anglers as one of the foremost experts on fishing the shallow flats of the Chesapeake Bay.
